A small field started in the 2013 Steve Millichamp 1500m. The field was lead away by Tyler Cowan while Matt Blood was the last to start. On the first lap a fast running Matt Blood looked to be setting himself up for a great run. However Jacob Cowan who was second to start was running exceptionally well and had opened up a big lead from brother Lochie and Rory O'Keefe. Ash Rogers had started to run away away from Matt Blood after initially being caught. Jacob Cowan ran an excellent time of 6.39 for an U10 athlete to win the race, while Rogers (5.01) beat Blood by a second for fastest time honors

Update on Resurfacing on Llanberris Reserve

Latest information on the resurfacing of Llanberris

Apparently, even though the track is closed, some people have been using the venue for training.

The track is still closed and people should not be using the track.

This is particularly important in the next fortnight. The resurfacing work will be taking place in the next fortnight and if the track is used in this time it will danage the work done by the Contractors.

In other words please PLEASE DO NOT USE THE TRACK until we are told otherwise

2013 Summer Lap of the Lake

Tonight the Summer Lap of the Lake was held. Sean Mahar was the first to cross the line in 21.50. Closely followed by Simon Tournier in 21.59. Junior Bailey O'Keefe ran an excellent time of 24.03 to win the sealed handicap

Ballarat YCW Junior Track and Field Results 2013

Thanks to those who attended our presentation nights on the 15th of March 2013.  We had a sensational Turn-out in the two presentation sessions and the room was absolutely full for the Under 5 to Under 9 Presentations.

Thankyou to all the parents and children who attended. We were able to hand out most of the medals and certificates

I would like to thank all the people who helped through out the season:

Change to Summer Lap of the Lake - 19th March

Due to the hot weather the Summer lap of the Lake was postponed last night. a 3k race was held instead and results can be viewed on the Results Page.

The Summer Lap of the Lake will now be held next Tuesday the 19th of March at 6.30 pm at St Patricks Point

Friday Night Junior Track Presentations

The 2012-13 Junior Track presentations will be held this Friday the 15th of March at the St Patricks College in the theatrette near where we do set-up. There are two presentation times

Under 10 - 16 - 6.15 pm

Under 5 to Under 9 - 7.15 pm

Ballarat Summer Series Race 4 - Summer Lap of the Lake

The 4th race of the 2013 Summer Series, the Summer lap of the Lake, will be held on Tuesday 12 March at St Patricks Point.

Starting time is 6.30 pm for a mass start.

If the temparture is still above 30 degrees at this time we will run a 3k race and hold the Summer Lap of the Lake next week

2013 Annual General Meeting
